Arabella's last day at school. As you will no doubt be aware, 'school' is one of my most faithful and wornout hobbyhorses. Building Blocks has been amazing, and embodies all the lovely things about small children, teachers, play and learning that England has almost completely lost to Curriculums, and Child Protection Issues. Here is Arabella with her 'aunties' (as the teachers are refered to), and her class teacher, ChristyAnne - a wonderful Trinidadian girl. We received Arabella's school report today, and are pleased to inform you (especially godparents and grandparents) that Santa will still be allowed to visit.
The bottom picture is of the dress rehearsal for the Christmas Play - Arabella has a charming headress and some jingle bells. I think her role was to stand very still centre stage and look utterly bemused: She did brilliantly!
