The road over the mountains from us to the North coast has been technically closed since Hurricane Ivan (2004). However, we decided to give it a go, with the intention of visiting Port Antonio. We got to this point.










And then saw what they were all whinging about.
So we just took a run at it.
Actually we were able to take a diversion through a coffee plantation. Still pretty hair-raising; not a journey to be attempted in anything wider, heavier or less 4 wheel drive than ours, but Port Antonio was worth the journey.
