An expert in procrastination, Arabella is not so foolish as to suggest that she doesn't really fancy Mummy's delicious mixed pulse and barley soup - instead she buys time with a carefully chosen ditty. Hmm. She did eat it, obviously, as she felt sorry for the farmer who had bothered to grow the barley. Never mind poor old cook......I just love the high notes, and the very uncharacteristic (and incongruous) kind of celebration at the end.
